Our Heritage
A family company,
two generations deep.
Cove Developments carries on Braemar Co, the home-building company Howard Schmidt ran for decades. When his son Garrett joined the business, they relaunched it under a new name to reflect what it had become: a family company, run by family.
The name goes way back. In the 1980s, Howard and his brother Dave built the Willow Cove apartments on their father's farm. Years later, Howard built Coventry Cove with Ellis Ivory. Cove Developments honors both.

Howard's son. A marketing degree and a Master of Real Estate Development from the University of Utah, put to work at every stage — finding land, entitlements, construction, and selling finished lots.

Garrett's brother-in-law. More than 15 years building homes, much of it alongside Howard at Braemar Co., and a key hand on Cove projects for the past decade.
